Custom software for small businesses · North Jersey

Show me the spreadsheet everyone hates.

Or the paper job sheet, or the orders somebody retypes from email every morning. I’m Khan. I build the small piece of software that makes that one job go away, and you use it on real work for a week before you pay me anything.

Free. In person if you’re local, or on video. Bring the file. I use it only for your job.

The work I meanExamples
  • Orders come in by email. Someone types them in.
  • The job gets written on a paper sheet, then typed in again to invoice it.
  • The website says you have 12. The warehouse says 3.
  • A job got missed because the list was in someone’s head.
  • One spreadsheet runs the place. One person understands it.

If one of these is yours, bring it to the call.

What I build

Small things. One job at a time, next to the software you already have.

TodayAfter

A customer emails an order and someone types every line into your system.

The lines are already there, with what’s in stock next to each one. Your person checks it and saves.Automation

A job starts on a paper sheet and gets typed in again at the end so you can bill it.

It’s entered once, on a screen the whole shop can see, and it follows the job through to the invoice.Small tool

Your store and your stockroom disagree, so someone fixes the numbers by hand.

One updates the other, and there’s a record of what changed and when.Connection between two systems

Only one person knows which customer gets which price, and she’s out Thursday.

Anyone you allow can look it up.Lookup, with AI if it helps

I won’t build what you can buy

If QuickBooks, Shopify or a $20 app already does the job, I’ll tell you on the call. I build only when nothing off the shelf fits.

When I use AI

Some of what I build uses AI, like reading an emailed order. A lot of it is plain software. If AI is in it, you can see where each answer came from, and a person approves anything before it goes out.

How it goes

The first version runs on your own files 72 hours after I get them. It’s that quick because it does one job.

  1. First

    30 minutes

You show me the job, in person or on video. Bring the real file. If software won’t fix it, I’ll say so and that’s the end of it.

    Pick a time
  2. Then

    One page

We write down what “working” means in two sentences, how to check it, and the price. We both sign.

  3. 72 hours later

    It runs on your data

You get a login and a ten-minute walkthrough. Nothing you use now gets replaced.

  4. A week after that

    You decide

Your people have used it on real work by then. Keep it and pay, or don’t and owe nothing.

Pay only if you keep it

$1,500. That’s the price for my first three clients, and I ask for three things back: an honest review, permission to describe the work, and one introduction if you’re happy. After those three it’s $2,500.

What stays the same

  • Nothing you use now gets replaced or switched off on a first job.
  • Your data is yours. You can export it whenever you want.
  • Once you pay, the code I wrote for you is yours too.
  • I don’t touch card numbers, health records or Social Security numbers.
  • I promise what we wrote on the page. I can’t promise you sales or savings.

What I’ve built

I don’t have paying software clients yet, so there are no logos or reviews to show you. This is what I’ve built for myself.

Who you’d be dealing with

I’m Khan. I’m in my early twenties, I study computer science, and I live in North Jersey.

I run my own servers at home, and that’s where the connections above live. Nobody has paid me for software yet. You’d be one of my first three clients.

That’s the catch. It’s also why the price is $1,500 and why you don’t pay until you’ve used it.

You deal with me the whole way. I come to your office, watch the job being done, and fix it myself when something breaks.

I work in person across Bergen and Passaic counties. Further out, we do it over video.

Fair questions

How is it ready in 72 hours?

It does one job. I keep it that small on purpose, build it, and test it against your files before you see it. If it breaks, that’s on me.

Does it replace QuickBooks, or whatever we use now?

No. It sits next to it. Your accountant keeps using what your accountant uses.

What if my people won’t use it?

Then you don’t keep it and you don’t pay. They get a week of real work with it before you decide.

What if software isn’t the answer?

Sometimes it isn’t. Some problems need a whiteboard, or one person changing a habit. I’ll tell you on the call if yours is one of them.

Can I call one of your clients?

Not yet. I don’t have any paying software clients. That’s the reason you get to use it first.

What do you need from me?

Thirty minutes, a copy of the real file or form, and a signature on one page. A few questions while I build.

What happens to my files?

I use them only for your job. I build and host your tool with a few outside services, on business terms that don’t train on your data. If you don’t keep it, I delete my working copies within 7 days. Anything an outside service holds follows its own terms. I don’t take card numbers, health records or Social Security numbers, so leave those out. Your data stays yours either way.

Show me the file.

Thirty minutes, free, in person or on video. If I can fix it, I’ll tell you how. If I can’t, I’ll tell you that.
